The knife is to demonstrate the ability of their new material
DC 53, DC 53 machines 50% easier than D2 / A2 yet hardens to
64 Rc with a double temper.
The real beauty of DC 53 . Is at 64 Rc it grinds
easier than a traditional O1 type material yet has above 50%
edge and wear retention improvement. Thus you end up witha knife
that takes an edge quickly, yet retains its cutting ability
longer.
Cutting tests and field trials are ongoingat present, wait for
